Ensuring the smooth implementation and operation of the agreed corporate governance regime for an investment fund is essential.
We have a detailed understating of both the best corporate governance practices and the legal and regulatory frameworks for investment funds. We maintain close relationships with stock exchanges, listing sponsors, nomads, regulators and company registries to ensure that we are fully aware of changes to regulation which may impact our clients and communicate these changes to the boards of funds and to fund promoters. A key aspect of our work is advising the board of an investment fund of corporate governance practices most appropriate to their needs.
A key to success is the operation of an effective board of directors. As secretary, we take responsibility for ensuring that all company meetings, whether of the full board, committees of the board, or shareholders, are held on time and are recorded properly. We will also ensure that directors remain fully informed about the company through the preparation of a comprehensive board pack before each meeting.
